7 months before the commencing of the tour, Alexis contacted us. Alexis is an patent attorney working for a chemical company in UK. He has six day holiday off from work, and has booked the Fin Air directly to Chongqing on June, 2013. He told us he is quiet interested in natural beauty, trekking, local living, and want to take some real good picture with his Canon single lens reflex camera. He has travelled a lot, and had ever done a champion in England to climb 3 highest mountain within 24 hrs.
Based on Alexis’ requirements, we design the specail Chongqing nature beauty tour plan for him. On day one, after Alex arrival, he was transferred to Hilton Hotel, with people’s square and local community in walking distance. On day two, in the morning, Alex attended a local’s couple’s wedding ceremony, and visited Ba fortress, ciqikou old town, and Yangtze River cable car, which helped Alex to undertand local people’s living. On day three, we set off on the way to Wansheng stone forest and limestone caves, which is supposed to be one the oldest stone forest in China. On day four,we visited Heishan mountain valley, where Alex took real good pictures. On day five, transfer to airport for departure.
Below is the testimonial from Alex.
Chongqing itself is an interesting city, and I am sure will become more widely known in the next couple of decades. As a tourist there are a few things to see in the city, including the old town. You can use it as a starting point for Yangtze river cruises as well. I was really impressed by the countryside though. It is simply not a side of China I had seen before, and it is very impressive.
Lark was great and very easy to deal with. I exchanged emails with Lark for a few weeks before I arrived, and they were good at suggesting things to do and organising an itinerary. Whilst I was in Chongqing, my guide was really helpful and clearly enjoyed showing me around the city and the countryside. I would very much recommend Lark’s service for customized tours.
